Better Late than Never- Nick Disaster be 3

Told you i'd get around to this but it's summer and i'm lazy and going to shows and drinking beer and slowly learning the in and outs of technology, and really it's only about 3 weeks late but that's okay cuz Nick Disaster is a big fan of his daddy, take tonight for example, as i laid on the grass and watched some children's theatre play at the park, both my boyos leaning on me, blue sky and fluffy white clouds and ain't life fucking grand? i mean i could piss and moan all i want but it's pretty simple when i got these two little dudes to hang with you know? so Nick D. be 3, and that last pic is from this weekend and i just noticed that he has the same shirt on in each pic but hell the kid is going through a firetruck and motorcycles phase so who am i to deny him his favorite shirts, it'd be like him telling me i couldn't wear my Black Flag hat or Smiths t-shirt... but don't let that innocent face fool you, that kid will lie right to your mug, caught red-handed he will deny any wrong doing, reminds me a bit of someone else i know, a trait that older brother of his didn't get (gotta love the older brother's honesty though, kid's about as sweet as they get) but little bro, shit man he'll pin whatever he can on his hero big bro, he'll blame me, the cats or a ghost who just happened to be passing through, seems the only person who can get to him is his daddy, when his mom's mad he laughs at her and keeps right on going but if he thinks dad is pissed that lips starts to quiver and the tears come and we have our little talk and then the kid comes over and says "sorry daddy" and his big old dad melts like a freeze pop on hot pavement and gives the little shit a hug cuz well? look at him, kinda hard not to, so enough of the daddy blog, the I-mac pops 6 on sunday so more pics will be coming and it's hard to believe that just a six short years ago i was a lot different than i am sitting here today, i mean i think i'm still the same guy, just maybe have my shit together a bit more and understand which side my bread is buttered on... so rock on kid.  Dad loves you.

Nice floors! And son.

There are six years and there are six years. The difference is the commitment and responsibility. Well done on embracing both. Lots of guys can't take the pressure and bail out. So rock on dad.

can't tell you how much i love this post... i can still occasionally conjure up a memory, like your 'fluffy clouds in the park', where it was me and the little spawn, carefree.

CAREFREE.

Aw. Just aw. Real heartbreaker that Nick Disaster. And obviously, quite street smart. Happy birthday to both of those little hooligans. You done good, Daddy. ;)

I went through a huge building phase when I was little, and my mom would get frustrated putting her first adorable little daughter in dresses and she, me, I would ruin them building things. And then she started collecting the clothes of my male cousins, and I would wear shirts with dumptrucks on them...
Thanks for reminding me.
