Stretch

As usual this post is late but it's happy happy to Stretch, all of 12 now and only one year left until the "wonderful" teenage years, for the record i'm thinking these kids start early these days with the teenage stuff.  A year of middle school has come and gone, 4 trips to the high honor roll, a new club for the football (which happens to be the oldest one in the US, established 1898) and growing so fast that soon i'll be able to swap clothes with the kid, well maybe not yet but it's coming, the kid grew damn near 6 inches this year (and is now taller than his momma) and i may soon be taking out a loan just to help feed the beast but damn if his old man don't think the world of him, so happy birthday Stretch, keep doing your thing kid, you're old man loves you.

He's a good looking lad. Boys get smelly at that age. You'll see. What's that in his hand? My daughter will be 12 in a month. We're practically in the same boat. But as Joe Jackson said, it's different for girls.

I had to get used to cooking larger portions for my girls once they reached that age. My eldest once looked down at her dinner and cried out "Is that all?" :)

Exile- gracias amigo, yes it's much different for girls, i don't envy you that lol!! of course i'm sure you don't envy having to buy a kid pants three times in a school year because he kept outgrowing them, that and adult shoes which he now seems to outgrow every few months, yikes!

looby- the amount of food the boy eats can border on the absurd at times, i wonder where it goes? and then of course an hour later he's standing in the kitchen talking about how hungry he is.

My son was drinking a gallon of milk every two days at that age! And developed the dreaded "boy funk"... Stretch is gorgeous! Happy Birthday!
