Tis the Season- Day 24-Lambchop - Give It -Live at Merge XX
I once had an office gig, it lasted maybe 2 months and then i got sick one thursday and when i showed up on monday none of my shit worked and i walked around kind of dumbfounded and when i finally asked the one woman began apologizing and explained that all the new hires had been laid off on friday, it was for some company that crunched data so that law firms could fuck over the common man in class action suits, of course i'm not sure that's what they did but that's what i like to think and it made me feel better about getting laid off cuz at that point in my life i was practically unemployable, still am really, the one nice thing about this gig though was that while i sat there and punched shit into their database i could listen to my discman, yes this was before the vaunted I-pod, and drift off into my own little world, many days that would consist of listening to this band, mainly the albums Nixon and What Another Man Spills, How I Quit Smoking and Thriller, yes they called one of their records Thriller which i think if fucking brilliant for a country-soul outfit from Nashville, Kurt Wagner- the guy in the chair, is one of the most decent human beings around and when my European brethren kept filling concert halls for him he finally quit his job sanding floors and took up music full time, here in H'america they are still largely unknown, but it was in those two months that i really began to appreciate how good they are and they've kind of stuck with me ever since, so without further ado, Lambchop.

would love to be standing in the front row as this song went down...
Sybil and Daisy- this band in criminally under-rated and appreciated. glad you like it.
OMG Kono, no shit, I've had Lambchop on my Friday Night Frolic list for the past month. It's a remarkable story. (And my brother's been pushing me to feature them.)
Hope you don't mind if I even use this video (I've got others, but love this one).
And love your story here.
