RIP - Levon Helm

Just read that Mr. Helm is in the last stages of throat cancer, you know that with both the boyos one of the names i threw out there was Levon, partly cuz  my daddy introduced me to the Band and then i spent alot of time in university hanging out with hippies and smoking dope and listening to them, Rock of Ages, their live album with the horn section is still one of those i pop on the record player on those Sunday mornings when i'm cleaning the old house and drinking coffee, first Richard Manuel, then Rick Danko, now Levon Helm, guess the Band is almost back together... here's a bit of Levon in his heyday.

Thank God music lives on forever.

Enjoyed many 'gravity' nights - stuck to the sofa - listening to The Band.

Dick Clark is holding the door open.

I respect The Band for what they accomplished but I never "got" them. That's fine. I don't picture you listening to a lot of Todd Rundgren but I used to hang on every word of Something/Anything, A Wizard A True Star, etc.
