Tis the Season Day 4 The Replacements-Can't Hardly wait

If you don't know why this band is up you haven't been paying attention. There is no need to write much tonight, most of it's been covered in previous posts, i will say this though, my sons will be instructed to play this at whatever pub they hold my wake in and i want people to laugh and smile and drink. As for the song it's best version is with the Memphis horn section but this live version is great for the crowd singing and the break Paul takes in the middle of the song. Enjoy.

my spawn have a running list of music for my farewell party... and are under strict guidance that if anyone requests saptastic crap like "tears in heaven" the requestor is to be smacked with a sturdy plank and kicked out of the wake... this rocks...

I was taught to believe that the 80's were a musical wasteland. What ignorant drivel. It's this kind of prejudice that...that prevents life from being a series of perfect moments.

Daisy- that's my plan too, it's gonna rock.

Sybil- indeed.

JMH- in every decade popular music is drivel, it's the shit that's not played on the radio that's ends up being influential and important, The Replacements will be name checked long after Spears, Aguilera etal.
